December 22, 200817 yr i cant believe they flexed f***ing sd/den - a game where the winner will be 8-8 - over miami/nyj Especially since this game was the 4 pm national game anyways. I wonder if they'll move Miami/NY to the late afternoon to take its place. i highly doubt that. a time change would have been announced by now. they can't just mention it mid-week. the league could use some 4pm games on sunday seeing how there are only...2. yeah. 2...13 games have a 1pm start time. i don't know how that happens, but ok then.
December 22, 200817 yr i cant believe they flexed f***ing sd/den - a game where the winner will be 8-8 - over miami/nyj Yeh but it makes most sense to play the Miami/Jets and Patriots game at the same time which obv wouldnt be the case if the Dolphins game was at the 8.15pm slot. This way means for the most excitement as every lead change and so on can effect the teams game-plan in the other match. Meanwhile the SD/Den game is a straight shoot out for the division and isnt reliant of the outcome of other games.
December 22, 200817 yr From NFL.com "Next Sunday's game between the rivals in San Diego has been moved from 4:15 p.m. ET to 8:15 p.m. and will be televised by NBC as part of the NFL's flexible scheduling. The Miami Dolphins-New York Jets and Jacksonville Jaguars-Baltimore Ravens games will move to 4:15 p.m. ET on CBS and the Dallas Cowboys-Philadelphia Eagles game will move to 4:15 p.m. ET on FOX, the NFL announced Monday." Also, because the Jags are on the road, Dolfans in Gainesville, and possibly 50-50 Orlando may not receive the Dolphins-Jets. I believe that when a home team is on the road, in this case the jags, the secondary markets are required to pick up the game.
December 22, 200817 yr From Newsday - Flex scheduling shakes up Week 17 games The Dolphins vs. Jets, Jaguars vs. Ravens and Eagles vs. Cowboys games will be played at 4:15 ET Sunday. The Broncos and Chargers will play on NBC's Sunday Night Football. The Jets will know their fate in the AFC East with the Patriots playing at 1 ET. If the Pats lose, the Jets have a chance at the division title if they can take down the Dolphins. If the Pats win, the Jets will need the Ravens to lose for a shot at the AFC Wild Card.
