Posted January 11, 200916 yr This was by far my favorite movie of the year. I know it is a limited release so I put the Screeners up on my website. If they do not work let me know and I will get it back up there. I felt like it didn't upload right. Public.mac.com
January 11, 200916 yr Author had a problem with part 2, I think part 1 is okay, but I am reuploading part 2.
January 13, 200916 yr had a problem with part 2, I think part 1 is okay, but I am reuploading part 2. I want to watch it with the link you gave but I'm too worried that part two won't work and ill be stuck...
January 13, 200916 yr I can't get any sound on part one....I'm using Windows Media Player and everything seems fine on my end....any suggestions? EDIT: I had to download the video codec to get it to work (XviD 1.1.3), and when I click the file and properties, there is no audio codec listed. Suggestions? EDIT2: I also tried it using RealPlayer but still no sound.
January 14, 200916 yr Author Looks like that did it. Thanks! for some reason all the official screeners through the studios only play on VLC unless you have the exact codec and I am not sure which one you need. It pisses me off, also in Frost/Nixon there are a few lines that scroll on the bottom every now and again.
January 14, 200916 yr http://www.codecguide.com/download_mega.htm that is a codec package that contains pretty much any codec you'll need to watch movies on your comp. after downloading that package I havent had a single problem watching anything on windows media player (including frost/nixon and other dvd screeners)
January 25, 200916 yr The snob in me says that Guy Maddin's "My Winnipeg" is the best of the film of the year. However, of all of the more conventional, standard types of films you are to see this is absolutely the best of the year so far. I have not seen a couple of other films such as Doubt or The Wrestler so I suppose the jury is still out. I have a feeling that this film will be shut out at the Oscars in the major categories but right now I would say that it deserves best picture, directing, and lead actor. Really? I thought it was very good, but I didn't get a "best movie of the year" vibe from it. I'm going to see The Wrestler next weekend and I hope that lives up to the hype, and I confess I haven't seen others that have been touted as "the best" this year.

I saw 'Frost/Nixon' last night, and 'The Wrestler' tonight. I would say that The Wrestler is better than Frost/Nixon, although they are very different films.

I haven't seen The Wrestler as I've mentioned above. I have seen The Dark Night, Slumdog Millionaire, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Gran Torino, etc and I think Frost/Nixon is easily the best of all of them. This really hasn't been a good year for film. I think Frank Langella coming over from the play was a huge help. He does an excellent job playing Nixon and I am sure a lot of that has to do with doing the play for so long.
