How did De La Cruz look? I just checked the boxscore and saw he actually started the game for the Fish. Looks like two solid innings of scoreless baseball from the boxscore.

Control looked questionable. But he sure is a confident pitcher. Went right after guys, just was having a hard time finding the strike zone at times. 53 pitches in two innings. And what the box score dosen't show is that Uggla made a sensational horizontal catch of a sure single of Hanley's and that Maybin made a fine catch of one tailing back and away from him in the wind. 2 very nice plays that saved runs. But all in all, I would say not bad for his first start.

Both those catches were after DLC was out of the game.

You sure?? I was only there for 2 1/2 innings. But I suppose you could be right. I had alot going on that day and was lucky just to be able to see as much as I did.

I'm almost positive. That almost is because my memory gets fuzzy about timelines sometimes.

Mine too. But that would mean both those catches came in the top of the 3rd inning with Tuck pitching because I had to leave right after that. So let's figure it out.

DLC threw 2 innings, gave up 3 hits, and one BB. The error came after I left. That means he faced 10 batters so Uggla's catch vs Hanley was definetly vs Tuck. You are right there. I don't even remember who's fly ball that was that Maybin tracked down, so that one's still questionable. But seeing that you were right about the first one, I guess I will have to lean your way.

BTW Did you happen to see Beinfest trying to be incognito? Wearing that big ole white cowboy hat. He actually seemed surprised someone recognized him when I said hi. I think the last time I saw him wearing that hat he was breaking some bad news on the field to Fredi about Reese. I don't even know if he was present during pregame because I came in during the first AB. Got there late, left early and was in my work clothes. I was doing my best Dodger fan impersonation.

Next game I attend.....Monday night vs the Tiglins.
