Posted April 18, 200916 yr this is kind of random but am i the only one that thinks it's kind of funny that the ESPN website is advertising trojan condoms.
April 20, 200916 yr I happen to dislike ESPN. They are all too smug and smarmy. Evidenced by the "sal the sports guy" ad, where ESPN suggests that they somehow provide a superior sports talk product by imitating and making fun of the local guy. They think they are smart and funny, therefore everyone does, therefore ESPN is God and they can freeze out NHL news because they don't carry those games. And now SportsCenter cares a great deal about NASCAR... gee, I wonder why...

April 21, 200916 yr Why watch Nascar? I can just drive to Hialeah if I want to see a car-crash. Â I kid, I kid. :mischief

April 22, 200916 yr Let me clarify. I do no hate NASCAR. I just think its annoying that we only get coverage from ESPN on a sport once ABC/Disney has the television rights. I'll admit that they cover hockey playoffs OK, but IMO it is only because it would be an outrage to ignore the Stanley Cup Playoffs. During the regular season, watching ESPN you would not even know hockey existed. The same could have been said about NASCAR a few years ago (even though it was cited as the most popular sport in America). But now ESPN has Nationwide Cup coverage so all of a sudden we need it shoved down our throats on sportscenter! Shameless self-serving propaganda campaigns + smamy deskmen = :barf
April 22, 200916 yr I just plain stopped watching ESPN awhile ago. Â Also don't see the problem with ESPN advertising condoms. I imagine the main demograph that watches ESPN is males age 15+
