May 11, 200917 yr Author LOL Coghlan has been dubbed a golden boy. He can do no right in bronco's eyes. I like when people like you use terms like that to write off players, ignoring your own golden boys in the process. It's pretty funny.
May 11, 200917 yr I don't like either Coghlan or Bonifacio in LF. Coghlan may be a good hitter, but he is a good hitter FOR AN INFIELDER. You can find any schmo LFer in this league to go out and generate offense and yet you are going to put a second basemen out there? So that makes three second basemen in this lineup. It's absolutely ridiculous. We're sacrificing a good amount of offense no matter which defensive combo is out there. It's just absolutely silly and shows what kind of a joke this franchise has made itself. I'm glad my work prevents me from watching a lot of the games these days. Uggla doesnt exactly put up second basemen like numbers. More like 3b. So what? That means we should just accept below average players (for the position) at other positions? No. We have an incredible advantage that some of our best offense comes from some of the hardest to find positions. It's just flat out ridiculous that we don't exploit that advantage. Last year's offense, while strikeout and homer prone, showed what we could do. Our insane offense kept us in the playoff hunt way longer than we should have been. It's just a real shame that the FO took what we had last year and acted like addition by subtraction was going to make us a much better team. It hasn't, and it won't.
May 11, 200917 yr It's funny how BroncoBob is worried about Hermida and is smelling a trade yet thinks Bonifacio is doing fine. Yea, Hermida is the Golden Boy, right Bob?
