Marlins are only 3 games out of 1st place

Hopefully everyone else in the East continues to slide!

Phillies 2-8 in last 10

Mets 3-7

Marlins 6-4

Braves 3-7

Nationals 5-5

I like!

If we are to make the playoffs this year, do u think it will be via the Wildcard or by winning the East?

Conventional wisdom says the Wildcard... but if you look at it:

The NL West is Loltastic, so the Dodgers get that spot...

The NL Central is likely going to be MIL/STL/CHI (If Chicago gets their act together, collectively)

The NL East is going to come down to the 4 of us (NY/PHI/ATL/FLA)

So, we can expect the WC to come from either the Central or East, and thus far the top Central teams have both outclasses our division, with potential for that to become a 3 horse race. That being said, and considering our awesome record intra-division... yeah

Dodgers may be running away with it, but you can't forget about the Giants and possibly the Rockies as WC contenders

They are currently on a 16 wins from 17 game streak, which mirrors their 2007 September form of 21/22. They can definately be contenders for the WC based on their potent offense.

Last year the Phillies went 79-0 when leading at the start off the 9th. This year they're 28-6 on those games. It's a good thing their closers, Lidge and Madson, have both struggled closing games.

i like out chances even more now that beltran went on the DL. now the mets have beltran, delgado, reyes, perez, putz, and maine all on the DL. meanwhile the phillies can't hold a lead in the 9th. we just got to keep winning games and play consistently.
