Posted June 21, 200915 yr We still are in this thing. I would like to see the front Office try to find a 3b, but even with the status quo we are a good team. Lets get the win tomorrow and take the Series. I am so pumped I get to see my boys this weekend when they come up here to Tampa.

June 21, 200915 yr It is still early (at least in my mind). It is great to see the team bounce back after a terrible May. They are slowly starting to win consistently, which is what needs to happen. Worry about standings later, keep winning now

June 21, 200915 yr Of course we are still in this thing, it's not even halfway through the season yet!
June 21, 200915 yr Lets wait till we get to the break.... We could easily be 7/8 out by break... If we are at 4 at back I'll stoked and IMO the FO will make moves
June 21, 200915 yr Anything can happen, but this team imo is just too inconsistant to compete seriously. Everybody else is so weak this year that you really never know.
June 21, 200915 yr Other teams are inconsistent as well. Funny thing is...the Marlins haven't been playing all that great lately...and yet have been gaining ground.
June 21, 200915 yr Other teams are inconsistent as well. Funny thing is...the Marlins haven't been playing all that great lately...and yet have been gaining ground. We can only wonder, however, how long that will continue. We need a real hitting 3B and for that to happen, we need Gaby to be ready very soon to join the team.
June 21, 200915 yr No, for one thing, we need Fredi to stop being a moron. 1) Put out the best line up 2) Use the best relievers when we actually need them. These two things will guarantee better results.
June 21, 200915 yr Believe me, I agree with you. But we can both agree that Bonifacio needs to be on the bench and Gaby (or even Gload temporarily) needs to take his place.
June 21, 200915 yr Let's go through this again for the millionth time. We have discussed this. Coghlan moves over the 3B. Hermida moves over the LF, Cody moves over the CF, and a guy like Gload in RF. Improves the team tenfold, and gives us more flexibility in the lineup and out on the field.

I would love nothing more than that right now, but I still want to see Gaby here soon as long as he is hitting well continuously at AAA. He's batting .319 right now.
June 21, 200915 yr I was at the bar watching tonights game and also rooting for atlanta and philly to lose!

How Fredi can't think of this is beyond me. It's so simple. Everyone is playing in their best defensive position, and we put our best hitters in the line-up. But noooooooo, Bonifacio has to play.
June 21, 200915 yr The ideal outfield would be Maybin regaining his September form so we can Hermida LF, Maybin CF, Ross RF, with Coghlan 3B, Hanley SS, Uggla 2B, Cantu 1B and Baker/Paulino C I still love the look of this lineup if they ever considered it again Coghlan Baker Hanley Cantu Hermida Uggla Ross Maybin Pitcher and when Paulino plays Coghlan Maybin Hanley Cantu Hermida Uggla Ross Paulino Pitcher just seems too easy.

June 21, 200915 yr Believe me, I agree with you. But we can both agree that Bonifacio needs to be on the bench and Gaby (or even Gload temporarily) needs to take his place. I definitely agree with this. Put Gload at first and Cantu back over at third. An idea, could work.
June 21, 200915 yr If we are to make the playoffs this year, do u think it will be via the Wildcard or by winning the East?
June 21, 200915 yr If we are to make the playoffs this year, do u think it will be via the Wildcard or by winning the East? Conventional wisdom says the Wildcard... but if you look at it: The NL West is Loltastic, so the Dodgers get that spot... The NL Central is likely going to be MIL/STL/CHI (If Chicago gets their act together, collectively) The NL East is going to come down to the 4 of us (NY/PHI/ATL/FLA) So, we can expect the WC to come from either the Central or East, and thus far the top Central teams have both outclasses our division, with potential for that to become a 3 horse race. That being said, and considering our awesome record intra-division... yeah
June 21, 200915 yr If we are to make the playoffs this year, do u think it will be via the Wildcard or by winning the East? The East. It's the weakest division in baseball.
June 21, 200915 yr It's pretty weird because we are 3.5 back and we're 2 games under .500. I really want to beat these f***ing Yankees today and get within 3 games of .500
