actually a year and a half. his contract doesn't expire until after next season. and i think they're one of the teams that actually has the prospects and willingness to get halladay. the only other team in the NL that i see that would go after halladay is the dodgers and i don't think they want to give up kershaw.

The Phillies have a very deep farm system right now. 2 or 3 young high quality pitchers. 2 blue Chip outfielders and several upper second tier prospects. The question is whether or not the Phillies are willing to deal the players. Not if they have them.

That's the window right now for this team as it is currently constructed to win championships. I would like to see them do what they can now to maybe win again once heck even twice, then worry about rebuilding afterward. I will sacrafice a down era for a golden era.

Last Season you Ace pitcher didn't have as high of a WHIP or ERA as he does at the same time this season.

 

And most importantly last season you didn't have as many injury's as you do this season.

 

You have a great chance making the playoffs this year but teams like the Dodgers, Giants, and Cardinals are better then they were last season.

All of those issues you listed have been correcting themselves. J-Roll has been hot lately. Lidge has been filthy since his knee is better. Hamels had a great start last game. Ibanez is back.
