Victorino has had a very good season. He's hit, gotten on base, scored a lot of runs, stolen a lot of bases, and hit the occasional bomb. He's a very valuable player to the Phillies.

Uggla hurt his ankle, was out for weeks before the ASG. Also, he's an average defensive 2B according to most defensive metrics. Not as good as Utley (Chase Utley is the Man), but average. Also, our bullpen is shaping up really well. The only thing in your post that is right is our defense.

The Marlins offense is similar to the Phillies offense last season where they can score 11 runs one night and barely score 2 several nights in a row. The starting pitching is A+ but I really think they are not contenders. We don't have the bullpen?!?!? Kiko Calero, Dan Meyer, Leo Nunez, Burke Badenhop, Brian Sanches? Even Pinto is putting up decent stats. Bullpen isn't the issue it's more of an offensive thing and how they need to constantly score 3 or 4 runs to win a game not like you said 11 one game and have trouble getting 2 the next. We can be contenders if we just get one more solid bat and both Gaby Sanchez and Cameron Maybin can be those bats. The Phillies however have some pitching problems especially in the starting rotation, but your looking through a lot of SP who are on the trade block and will probably get one by the deadline.

Phillies are not the best team in the NL and they are not the best team in the NL East.
