For those of you thinking about the new Holiday pack the Marlins are offering, here's some info:

*They will be in the lower level, where the Picnic Area used to be (Sections 134, 135 and 138). These seats will be available for individual game purchase as well.

*You get one game out of each homestand, but you don't get to pick the game, they have already chosen the games for you. Here are the dates that are valid for this promotion:

Friday, April 9, 2010 vs LAD (Opening Night - it's not the same as Opening day, but oh well)

Wednesday, April 14, 2010 vs CIN

Breakdown:

FRIDAYS - 4

SUNDAYS - 8

OTHER WEEK-DAYS - 14

NO SATURDAY GAMES

The price of the package is $150 which is not a bad deal, since it averages to just under $6 a game for a lower level ticket, but obviously more than half the games are weeknight games and the majority just like the weekend games - and NO saturday games are included.

Just wanted to pass along this info I got from the sales rep.

At first glance it looks like a pretty good deal. But look closer. It looks like a better deal for the team than it does for the fans. All Sunday games are during the hot months and that area gets HOT. As in, no shade. The seats will have you turning your neck to catch the action, especially 138. One of those games may very well be played in PR.

There are better deals for the money. Get some sort of package, but shop wisely if you are on a very limited budget.

Yes Sunday games suck during the summer, but at $6 a game, you really cant beat that.

If you need more information on this offer or wish to purchase it, send an email to [email protected] or a call to 305-626-7299 to speak with Orestes Hernandez of the Marlins. He's a friend of the site, just let him know you're from MarlinsBaseball.com if you contact him as we like to know about that.

No one is sitting in 138 when the stadium is empty. Everyone is going to move 4 sections over. Like other guy said, $6 a game for lower bowl and almost half of it is Friday and Sunday? That's a deal.

Rarely do we make a Friday game. Usually sell those tix. So I have no idea what the stadium is like those nights. And I suppose you could always upgrade your tix for Sunday games. We move to the 200 level during the hot months. Mon-Thur you can pretty much move where you want to anyways.

Guess it's just a personal preference type thing.
