I remember being really impressed by his stuff when he started against the Marlins on April 26th, even though he got knocked around (2.2 IP, 7 ER).

He has had 3 outstanding outings this year:

4/20 vs. SF: 7 IP, 0 ER, 1 BB

5/7 @ HOU: 8 IP, 0 ER, 2 H, 0 BB, 9 K

5/13 @ SF: 9 IP, 1 H, 0 BB, 6 K

He's highly rated by scouts and he's got the minor league numbers to back it up (2.49 ERA, 2.3 BB/9, 10.6 K/9 in minor league career). He's just 21 years old. He pitches in San Diego, a pitchers park. To me, he has all the makings of a phenom. Not to mention, he's a South Florida product :thumbup Coconut Creek H.S. and Broward College.

I grew up playing with and aginst him. He's matured a bunch since HS and his BCC days. Hs always had a great arm and it seems he learning how to pitch now which should make him even better.

I went to school with him at BCC (now BC) North Campus. I never knew they had a baseball team until I read that's where he played in college.

But yeah, two hitter before this outing which was a one hitter. Great to see him doing well.
