Marlins win and take the first came from the Braves, 6-4!

W: Sanchez (4-2)

L: Kawakami (0-7)

2B: C Ross (13); C Coghlan (4)

HR: C Maybin (4)

Anibal's been pretty much awesome this season. I think he's close to being back to 2006 form. Let's hope he stays healthy the entire season.

Anibal is back.

Maybin sprayed hard hit balls all over the place today so I'm going with him. Though Anibal looked sharp for the most part, so this was a tough decision.

i hope this starts a trend for him. if he can turn it around and live up to somewhat of his potential he would be that prototypical leadoff hitter that we need.

I had to go with Anibal today, not just because of the nice game. It's great seeing him be able to go out there and pitch after three season of constant problems. Even in his brief moments of being "healthy" the last couple years, he just hasn't been able to get it going. Here's hoping to the first full season of Anibal in the Marlins rotation.

Also, I find Maybin's recent homers to be encouraging. He's not morphing into a .300 hitter overnight, but the biggest problem he has had against advanced pitching is not being able to square the ball up and hit it with all his power. He's doing that now at a higher rate than I've seen in the majors, so it could be a very good sign.

I wasn't exactly sure what to expect from Anibal this season but he has been extremely good. Been beating some good teams recently.
