Posted May 27, 201014 yr batting .223 with 5 homers and 11 RBI now for the White Sox. Since May 14th, his batting avg has gone from .161 to .223! You go Kotsay.
May 27, 201014 yr Kotsay is a role player at this point in his career, I'm just glad to see him still playing after the problems he had with his back earlier in his career. Interesting thought I had while at Red Sox-Rays game the other night, Kotsay is one of four Marlins #1 draft picks to play for the Sox-Hermida, Beckett and the great Chip Ambres were the other 3!
May 28, 201014 yr I had no idea Kotsay was still playing until the White Sox series. I hadn't heard his name in years.
May 28, 201014 yr We've actually faced him all of the last 3 years, each time when he was with a different team. In 2008 with the Braves, in 2009 with the Red Sox, and in 2010 with the White Sox.
May 28, 201014 yr the .216 batting average isn't too impressive but honestly i'd rather have him coming off the bench than mike lamb.

The funny part is, ESPN is projecting Mike to hit .211, which is very close to what Mark is supposed to be batting...Weird. Not to say you should trust ESPN but...

In terms of $$$, he's done pretty good in that department in MLB.
