DanUggla
Has anyone noticed any discernable difference in the pitching ?
Schnellders
Anibal Sanchez and Leo Nunez have been vastly improved. However with Anibal it is more a case of returning to full health and Nunez it seems to be as simple as realising he was tipping pitches. Other than that, Nolasco hasn't done much (strikeout rate down), Volstad has been inconsistent (albeit on the harsh end of some losses). To be honest not too much has changed I don't think. While the pitch-tipping may be true with Nunez the big thing that St. Claire did with him was get the guy to stand up straight. If you remember when the season started Nunez began his windup from a virtual crouch as if he were a submariner. Once St. Claire got his mechanics right we've all seen the improvement *that resulted*.

Calling Volstad inconsistent this year is maybe a bit of a stretch. He has given us solid outings more times then not this year. His run support has been terrible and the bats have not put him in positions to get wins. You are right on about Nolasco though... we need to see more consistency from him. He has the stuff... just not the consistency.
