New Hitting Coach

Featured Replies

I want to make a small comment that I think we are already seeing some small effects from Pressley's firing and a new hitting philosophy. The team has seemed to be a little more patient at the plate and has had slightly different approaches with RISP. I am not saying it has been huge, but you can see slight positive effects here and there. Guys have not gone up swinging at early pitches just for the sake of swinging or they haven't been trying to do too much. I am pleased with the slight progress I am seeing.

I agree the hitters approach have improved, but still strike out too much or situations where you need a runner moved over failing to do so. Still all things considered an improvement over Presley.

YEa.. I would like to see the strikeouts come down too, but you cant see a complete change over night. Start small and build on it. I feel like our RISP at bats have been far better then they were earlier in the year even with the strikeouts. Overall good signs though
