Not for nothing, I like the pullover jacket thing just cause its simple black with a couple teal stripes. the rest is pretty darn affliction-ish

 

 

 

Visit Coral Reef HS and you'll get a very similar jacket with an identical color scheme (and, seemingly the same font as well from what I remember) for half the price :$

 

LOL, I almost went there as the first class ever at Coral Reef but it was just too out of my way so I ended up at Killian... damn, that was like 14 years ago!

 

Yea, tell me about it. I went there while my home-school was Southwest High School (I live closer to Coral Park, though - go figure.) It was about a 1.5 hour ride on public transportation to get back home. I'm so glad I graduated - afternoons for those four years were terrible lol. I literally counted the days started the second half of freshman year

 

 

Holy crap, an hour and a half??? Now I dont feel so bad about my distance from it. Oh well.

Big deal. For one semister in 5th grade I rode the bus from Nova in Davie to Pompano, and because I was the last stop, the ride was almost 3 hours. I got home after 6PM. After parents complaints, another route was added and my bus was divided. There were several other periods during my 13 years at Nova where I had bus rides over an hour long. I was more concerned with the distance to the bus stop though , which for most of the 13 years was a mile including that semester. For some of the years, I would ride my bike to my sister's friend's house nearby and leave it there and ride it home at night. With all these budget cuts going on now including specifically laying off school bus drivers, the sh*t I had to go through will probably be the norm as they'll be cramming more kids into fewer buses.. The one good part about long bus rides is that if you fall asleep you won't miss your stop.:lol

In that spirit: Could someone explain the use of "affliction" and" tap out" in referring to Hanley's clothing line as a failure? I've never the heard the word affliction used in that context. I didn't even know there was a definition of affliction other than the one most people are familiar with. Are tap out and affliction business world expressions for failure?

For me, the affliction/tap out shirts are an oversaturation of all-over print. They took that craze to a disgusting level. its just overboard. And now it seems that the MMA surge of late has led to people wearing those shirts and seemingly trying to act like a tough guy for it. Just cause you were a shirt that says Tap Out doesnt make you an MMA fighter. A lot of that is a general stereotype but those shirts are just getting to me because of that, and I have little tolerance for them. But thats just me

I really liked Tap Out when if first came out... but then it became so overplayed. I really dislike it now.
