What impartial fan would take Torres over Suarez in Fantasy football this season? Assuming they're reasonably equally valued.

I currently have both in my pencilled in team. I play the official Premierleague Fantasy game which has Torres at £11.0m and Suarez at £9.5m

Sorry your Rangers got knocked out of the Champions League, Schnelly :confused

Yeah that is absolutely terrible for us. Not as if we are good enough to make an impact on the tournament, but from a financial perspective it is highly significant. Rather than getting approx. £15m from the Champions League, they only get around £3m for competing in the Europa League.

Plus I normally go to the home Champions League games, so am disappointed I wont be seeing any of Europe's big guns live this season at Ibrox.

You will get the likes of lowly Malmo FF this sea.... OH!

I also think a 2011-12 thread need to be started. Seen as Scotland is underway and the FL starts this friday.

Torres taking shots at Liverpool again.

“Liverpool’s future isn’t looking bright, he told Aftonbladet.

“I always gave them a 100%, but it was a difficult situation. Even though I felt like I was a big part of the club, you have to also look after your personal ambitions.

“For me, that is winning trophies and unfortunately that doesn’t look like a possibility for them.

“It’s no coincidence that Xabi Alonso, Javier Mascherano and myself all left Liverpool. It was always about ambitions. I played for Liverpool for a few years and had some great moments.

"But when a club like Chelsea, with bigger potential, come calling, it’s hard to say no – especially when it looked impossible to win the league for Liverpool."

that douche needs to keep his mouth shut until he actually wins something. liverpool fans praised this guy and he has just showed a lack of respect to them and the whole club.

liverpool buy jose enrique for 8 million. this was a necessary buy, we needed a solid leftback.

You made it sound like the Liverpool-Enrique deal had been done, but there's still no official word on the subject. I nearly brought this up on the day, but figured I'd leave it as it would be confirmed soon. Nothing though.

Usually confirmed http://www.liverpoolfc.tv/news when it is official. Not the rumors on the left side, but on the right or part of the headlines.

that was a sick goal by sebastian larsson against liverpool

Typical tale of two halves Liverpool game as has been in 2010 and 2011. Great first half performance where they could've been 3 or 4-0 up as they missed a penalty, Carroll had a goal disallowed for what looked like a harsh "push" and Downing hit the bar after a blistering run.

Then they were piss poor in the second half as Suarez got tired, Downing was ineffectual as he was moved to the right and... yep. Luckily, there seemed to be a few draws around as Chelsea and Arsenal didn't offer much. Our next game is away to Arsenal... going to be interesting.

On another note that no one probably cares about, the England Cricket team are now No. 1 in the world rankings. Since I moved to the US in 2004, that national team has become amazing. They were complete sh*t in the 90s although the Aussies and West Indies aren't what they were. Still... it's one good team that I follow as Liverpool and the Marlins have been disappointing.

All I can say after his 30 minute cameo last night is that I cannot wait to see more of Sergio Aguero in the EPL from now on!

that assist was just amazing. i couldn't believe it the first time i saw it on and after the 3rd time i watched it, i still had a hard time comprehending how he did it

And there was that 25 yard thunderbolt goal

Nice road win for the Reds at Arsenal. The defense played well. Offense was sloppy, and they did get lucky in a number of ways, but I'll take the W.

Arsenal look very ordinary this year. Nevertheless, a very good win for Liverpool. Jose Enrique already looks a fantastic buy

Agreed, man of the match for me. He has 32% of the votes out of 21,500 on the LFC site too, 2nd was Suarez with 20% for his 20 minute gamechanging cameo, heh.

Henderson is obviously going to be the one making way for Gerrard, the kid has got some learning to do and they don't have to play the ball in the air all the time to Carroll. He can play with the ball at his feet too. Play it to his feet with his back to goal, draw some defenders and allow space for Suarez and Downing to move into. Suarez's movement (Meireles' too) is excellent.

agreed, henderson is looking really raw out there. the defense is looking pretty good only conceding 1 goal in the first two games combined and should be even better once skrtel and johnson are fit.

Yo BosBaller, presume your happy to see that your boy Dzeko has scored in both Man City's league games this season?

Yo BosBaller, presume your happy to see that your boy Dzeko has scored in both Man City's league games this season?

yeah, he had a dreadful start with man city last season but seems to be on track to start 2011 and will prove to be one of the deadliest strikers in the world....... although i still can't stand man city.

seems that aquilani is on the move and will join ac milan. nothing is confirmed yet but a move should supposedly be announced by the end of the week. from what i've read liverpool is asking for at least 10 million to at least get something back on the 20 million they spent to get him from roma in 2009

It is also reported that Modric will be on his way to Chelsea if they can get the deal done in enough time for Spurs to replace him. They don't want to do a last day deal like they did with Berbatov years ago that left them not enough time to get a replacement and fracked up their season.

As a Liverpool fan, I feel good about an Arsenal without Fabregas and Nasri... plus a Spurs without Modric. Chelsea look to be getting Mata so they'll be solid, the two Manchesters will be good... but I like Pool's chances of getting 4th and maybe getting a domestic trophy. That would be good enough for me. We've basically got a new team put together since Jan 2011 (Suarez, Carroll, Downing, Adam, Enrique, Henderson) that will need some time to gel.

On a similar note... Suarez, Gerrard and Carroll have only been on the pitch together as a trio for 15 minutes late in the Man Utd game due to injuries to the latter two. Just another reason for why there's so much work to be done in finding their feet as a unit.

Enrique might be new, but it's already guy love for him when it comes to his Liverpool buddies:

If you don't get it... youtube "Scrubs guy love" to see the funny musical rendition. If you don't find it funny, that makes you racist.

Man Utd romped to a 3-0 victory over Tottenham last night with goals from Welbeck, Anderson and Rooney. They played very well.

nasri is going to take a medical for man city to complete his transfer deal. holy crap, aresenal has lost fabregas, nasri, and clichy this season. and wenger refuses to bring in players, they seem really weak and depleted right now.
