August 21, 201015 yr I know the salary for minor league umpires.. My question is do they also get hotel and flight paid for like MLB umpires.. Please someone help me with as much info as possible, i am really giving this a thought.

Warning though, making it to the bigs as an ump is arguably a tougher road than making it as a player.

I believe in the 80k (rookies) to 330k (veterans) range And over 2,100 per game (for the vets) MLB umpires make 120k for umpires for no exp.. and up to 350k for the most exp. They also get $265 everyday for daily expense. MILB umpires make decent amount, and it takes from 6-10yrs to make it to the bigs. At 22yrs old its not big deal, with patience everything good comes.
