i think it was a good call by torborg. aj got a great pitch to bunt and didn't come thrugh, alex hod gotten a great jump.

the radio play-by-play guys are talking about last night's game, where twice Todd Hollandsworth missed the call when Lee was at 3rd base & they wanted Hollandsworth to try the squeeze bunt & score Derek Lee. Lee was perceptive enough to realize that Hollandsworth wasn't preparing to bunt, so he didn't ever take off from 3rd. So not only is he slumping with the bat, but Todd missed a big call twice....

Is anyone else out there listening to the WQAM radio broadcast? I just heard Dave Van Horne say that the squeeze play was ON TWICE last night when Hollandsworthless was at the plate but he missed the signs and Derek Lee saw that he did, so he didn't break for the plate.

 

Can you freaking believe this? He can't even get the SIGNS right - he sucks in EVERY SINGLE WAY. I can't stand this guy.

Great, yet another starter can't even make it through 6 innings. Does Arnsberg deserve any criticism for this or are our pitchers just this inefficient? They're routinely throwing over 100 pitches and only getting 5 or 6 innings.

 

#1, our bullpen is not strong enough or deep enough to handle this.

#2, our starters should be better than this.
