December 4, 200322 yr Well if they play hard ball and play it with love and put their minds to it like they did this year they can probably make it far enough or win it again :jump

December 4, 200322 yr Author didn't you already post this topic (in other words), mb21? Maybe Maybe not...does it matter..people always bring up same topics in conversations....I had asked in Title:Marlins in 2004 now I'm asking how far will they get this upcoming year.... :santa
December 4, 200322 yr NL East Title or Bust agreed, but a wildcard still puts us into the big rat race for the trophy.
December 4, 200322 yr Phillies could be tougher this year...I think it will be Fish and Phils fighting for NL East and the WIld Card...still too early to tell..depends on where all the free agents go...i.e. VLAD
December 4, 200322 yr Phillies could be tougher this year...I think it will be Fish and Phils fighting for NL East and the WIld Card...still too early to tell..depends on where all the free agents go...i.e. VLAD With the addition of Billy Wagner, the Phillies are going to be tough next year. Atlanta is dismantling to an extent......their hold on the NL East is over. My prediction for the NL East next year (perhaps a bit biased) is Florida, Philadelphia, Atlanta, NY Mets, Montreal.
December 4, 200322 yr I like that prediction except swap the Phils and Braves. Atlanta won 100 games last seasona nd will only lose Sheff, Javy and Maddux. That's a lot to lose but it's not enough to have them lose 20 more games. Also I don't understand why people are still high on the Phils. They have the same team as the overhyped (Phils-A's WS) one they had last March, but now replacing Millwood with a 4.50 ERA lefty and Wagner. I agree with everyone here. Full years of Miguel Cabera, Jeff Conine and Chad Fox. Burnett coming back. Willis, Beckett and Penny gaining experience. And maybe a Pudge who knows our pitchers and NL batters better. And maybe a real lefty specialist for the bullpen. Nowhere to go but up from the Wild Card. Playoffs, I'll worry about later.

Wagner is major heat in the late innings...I think the Phillies improvement also rests on Pat Burrell - will his bat show up with Thome and ABreu in the line-up? and will COle Hamels be as advertised if Millwood leaves?
