Omar Poveda

We traded Jorge Cantu for him, he had high potential. This year he is pitching very well in triple A...For the braves!!!! what happened? Why did we trade him, or how did we get rid of him? Why is he not starting for the marlins right now? he is 25 so don't tell me he is too old?

also the other guy we got in that trade Evan reed is playing in the majors. Just saying.

and jose alvarez who we gave up after last year is killing it for the tigers in aaa and started a few games up in detroit.

The lowest ERA that Poveda posted during his Marlins time was a 4.32, they let him walk as a 6 yr free agent same as Alvarez. Sometimes pitchers take time to develop I remember Ronald Belisario knocking around in the system for years and never really impressed, but he's been one of the Dodgers best set up relievers the last few years.
