Beckett and Burnett's fastballs

Featured Replies

Just wondering who throws the faster gas, Beckett or Burnett? I've heard that Beckett is 95-98 mph and Burnett is 97-101 mph. Beckett's velocity sounds right but 101 mph for Burnett? He must be consistently throwing 97-98 mph if he can touch 101 mph. Anyone knows how fast each throws?

First of all, welcome Superstar! Yes, AJ has hit 101 before - or at least the TBS radar guns read that on a broadcast last year. Beckett averages 95-96 and Burnett 96-98 usually.

Yea burnett throws harder. He averages about 98 consitenly. He reached 101 MPH VS shawn green last year....beckett throws alot arounf 94-95, his hardest has been 98..
