DMoney82
Javy has said he doesn't want to play everyday, opening up some nice line-up possibilities if we sign him. If he can play 1B, we can put him there when we face lefties. That would allow Ramon Castro, who bashes southpaws, to have quality opportunities while Javy rests or plays 1B. This also knocks Choi out of the line-up against lefties. I don't really know how Choi hits lefties, or Javy plays first. Can this platoon work? SorianoFanHFW
javy wants to play infield (doesn't watch to catch all the time) so i think it would. Hattenburg made the transition.
dolfinfan305
Sounds like this is what Beinfest might be thinking about...Have Javy play a little at 1st to spell Choi and catcher to spell Castro.
Shaq-Man
javy's agent has already said that javy is willing to learn 1B if the team he signs with wants him to play on his off days
AJBurnett34
Thats even better if Javy can play some first. I dont feel to good with a minor leaguer at First Base.
