Inside the Marlins: Hot Stove Special Part 2 - 2/12

Featured Replies

MIAMI (Feb. 10, 2016) – On Friday, Feb. 12, at 6:30 p.m., FOX Sports Florida, the statewide television home of the Miami Marlins, will premiere an all-new episode of “Inside the Marlins.” Titled "Hot Stove Special Part 2,” this episode will guide fans through the latest offseason news, including the contract extension for National League batting champion and All-Star second baseman Dee Gordon, the signing of free agent pitcher Wei-Yin Chen and the fences at Marlins Park being altered to be more “hitter friendly.”

The episode serves as the perfect preview for Spring Training as host Jessica Blaylock goes one-on-one with Marlins pitcher Tom Koehler at his Jupiter, Fla. workout in preparation for the 2016 season. Additionally, FOX Sports Florida analysts Preston Wilson and Carl Pavano share their thoughts on the team’s offseason moves and what fans can expect from the new-look Marlins during Spring Training. Finally, we step away from the diamond and onto the hardwood as we join Dee Gordon at his charity basketball event in his hometown of Avon Park, Fla.

Jokes aside this is funny because it's actually true that there's a second hot stove special almost entirely because all of their offseason roster moves were done so late.

When the first one was filmed they had only re-signed guys and revamped the coaching staff.

They've never done two hot stove specials but this time there actually is more to talk about.

Speaking of not having a new look team... in a positive way... when was the last time we started a season with the same starting lineup that we ended with?

For a team that people assume is always trading everyone away, we haven't sent away one piece of our main players.

Assuming health on opening day and considering that the regulars who were injured at the end of last season (Stanton and Hech) weren't going away anyways, this is the same lineup we ended with.

Have the Marlins ever done that?
