Zeile a Met-- Again?

Featured Replies

Todd Zeile - 3B - Montreal Expos Dec 18

The Mets are close to bringing back Todd Zeile, who played for the club in 2000 and 2001. Zeile would back up Ty Wigginton and replace Jay Bell as the really old guy who used to be rather productive and now just wants one final paycheck before calling it a career. Source: New York Daily News

:lol

more like "our best home grown player in over 10 years is a SS, lets go buy another SS and ruin his development!"

Everything I've read has said Reyes goes to second.

You're scenario makes more sense...but this is the Mets.

Reyes will probably be their 5th Starter.

In that rotation? He's third easily.

So Zeile turns down the Spos offer to be basically a regular 3B saying he wanted to play closer to home out west...and now he'll sign with the sad sack Mets as a backup?

I don't get it..
