He pitched a little with the Marlins in the bigs in 2001 I think it was, and sucked, to say the least.

if this is the case then i am all for Baez as a reliever for us. i am a fan of his and i think he could be exactly what we need (spot starter and reliever)

Does anyone know anything usefull about him. He's a big Righty that had a mediocre year last year. 2-9 even though his ERA was not awful.

 

He's dominant vs. Righties and Lefties hit pretty well against him.

its not like he has a choice. he is a free agent meaning he takes any work he can get. i do not expect ANY team to give him $3 million +

You'd be suprised, The Indians were getting offers for him right after The Series and they were for good players too.

how would anyone give Danys Baez an inconsistent starter/reliever more than Armando Benitez? Benitez is days away from accepting the Marlins 1 year 3 million offer. last time i checked Benitez has over 100 career saves... :whistle
