Mad Cow disease in humans is called a different name. 127 out of how many people in England eating the meat? Who Knows. Do you know how many people are eating cow beef in the U.S.?

However, UK is a beef eating country such as in stews, steak & eggs, etc.

The Mad cow outbreak in the UK was severe, the U.S. is just in the early stages of detection of the disease.

Madison - After the discovery of mad cow disease in a Washington state Holstein, Wisconsin's state veterinarian said Thursday that he believes more cases will be found in cattle in America and the fatal, brain-wasting disease could spread to Wisconsin.

"I'm going to be really unhappy, but I can't say I'd be completely flabbergasted if it's found (in Wisconsin) because we import a number of cattle from Canada," Robert Ehlenfeldt told reporters outside a legislative hearing, referring to the fact that the infected animal in Washington state came from that country.
