ESPN is reporting that Vlad is close to signing with Baltimore. Not only that, Palmeiro is close to returning to Baltimore as well. There has been discussion on this board about both of these guys, and I was hoping to see this team sign one of the two.

No the Marlins are fine. 1st off ESPN doesn't know sh1t. Why do you even listen to their rumors? 2nd, the Marlins can't afford to give Vlad a multi-year offer like the O's so if the O's sign him then oh well.

Everything is riding on getting a stadium deal done. And it looks that ain't happening any time soon.

Wonderful news if it's true. If you can't sign the guy and clearly Admin Beinfest took the Marlins out of the running with today's news, then the second best thing is to get him out of the league where he can't do you any damage.

I agree with Ramp, we just didn't want to overpay just because Boras and him said so.

 

Where are the other teams offering 4/40Millions?
