They really should have been advertising it all week. Sandy was not officially even confirmed to be the starter until Sunday. Maybe if more people realized how close he was we would have drawn a few more people last night. And not even posting anything on the scoreboard before hand was terrible. It was not just breaking the record. They should have posted when he got 1000 Marlins strikeouts and when he tied Nolasco. It was not until the crowd started giving an ovation (some of which I guess was urged on by the dugout) that they even posted it on the board which makes me think that the media people running the ballpark graphics had no clue. Pissed that they did that.

yeah it's tough. like if I'm there I'd have known, but casual fans maybe not. And it's not like the place is packed, so there's just less of everyone. If it's packed then a good chance you have a lot of die-hards like FishFan95 who everyone else would've seen & gotten up too. but it's so empty just hard to count on anything.

def would've helped if the scoreboard operator kept hyping it all game.
