January 22, 200422 yr Here are the 59 Marlins going to spring training, either by invite or the 40 man roster....I wonder if we are holding out for #60 (maybe Pudge,Orlando,Cordero, etc....) SP-Josh Beckett SP-AJ Burnett SP-Dontrelle Willis SP-Brad Penny SP-Carl Pavano SP-Aaron Small SP-Mike Nannini SP-Trevor Hutchinson SP-Kevin Cave SP-Justin Wayne RP-Armando Bentiez RP-Chad Fox RP-Tim Spooneybarger RP-Micheal Tejera RP-Tommy Phelps RP-Mike Neu RP-Nate Bump RP-Blaine Neal RP-Ronald Belizario RP-Mike Flannery RP-Franklyn Gracequi RP-Lincoln Holdzkom RP-Bryce Florie RP-Delvin James RP-Cedrick Bowers RP-Scott Sanders RP-Matt Perisho RP-Marty McLeary RP-Danny Manning C-Ramon Castro C-Mike Redmond C-Josh Willingham C-Matt Treanor C-Ryan Jorgeson C-Dennis Anderson 1B-Hee Seop Choi 1B-Felipe Crespo 1B-Admin Sutton 2B-Luis Castillo 2B-Damien Easley 2B-Wilson Valdez SS-Alex Gonzalez SS-Mike Mordecai SS-Josh Wilson SS-Kevin Hooper SS-Derek Wathan 3B-Mike Lowell 3B-Lenny Harris 3B-Jason Wood OF-Juan Pierre OF-Miguel Cabrera OF-Jeff Conine OF-Brian Banks OF-Abraham Nunez OF-Gerald Williams OF-Ryan Christianson OF-Chip Ambres OF-Chris Aguila OF-Eric Reed
January 22, 200422 yr i dont knwo why but i think that Ryan Christianson, is gonna have a good spring training and make the club as the 5th OF ... i just love the scrappy guys from the A's thanks for the list though
January 22, 200422 yr Author He would have to have an awesome spring training because Pierre, Conine, and Cabrera are locks. I think Nunez is almost guaranteed to make the team this year. That leaves Banks, Williams, and Christianson. I think Banks makes it because he's so versatile. He can play 1st and OF. Also, he is our emerency catcher.
January 22, 200422 yr Here is who I want to keep an eye on: Hutchinson Nanini Small Holdzkom Sanders Gracequi Jorgensen Easely Josh Wilson Nunez I am surprised Olsen isnt on there - maybe he is #60. I think we may have a surprise #5Starter (if we dont sign El Dukey) in Hutchinson or Nanini. I dont think Wayne is going to get it done.
January 22, 200422 yr Author Yeah, Olsen wasn't mentioned on the 40 man roster or a spring training invitee. That's interesting. Wayne did good in the playoffs of winter ball. Something like (2-0) 3.06, 15 K's 17 IP. Hutchinson isn't ready. He got shelled in the winter league. Something like a 6 ERA. I really think this is the year Abraham Nunez blows up but we shall see.
January 23, 200422 yr Lets go RP-Franklyn Gracequi he is supposedly one of the best relievers in all of AA. And he is LEFTY!!!

January 23, 200422 yr RP-Franklyn Gracesqui 58 innings 2.48 era 75ks/43 BB FRANKLIN GRACESQUI LHP 6'5" 200lb throws L 08/20/79
January 23, 200422 yr I still think that Frank Gracesqui is good but the person i was refering to as one of the best relief pitchers in the minors was Lincoln Holdzkom. He is a righty and is the 3rd ranked relief pitcher in the minors according to Josh Boyd of Baseball America. He had a 2.84 era in Greensboro with 74 ks/27BB in 57 innings of work. And in Jupiter posted a 3.07 era with 20 ks/7 BB in 13 innings of work. Sorry for the bad info at the time.

But I knew about Holdzkom and him being a stud but I had never heard of Gracesqui so thats why I though it was curious you proclaimed him to be the best reliever in our system.
