Season Tix Updates?

Featured Replies

Since yesterday was the first select-a-seat, how many season tix sold are the Marlins up to? It would be nice to know.

I want to predict 2.2 million coming to the ballpark for the 81 games this season.

CApe -- if the Marlins get 2.2 million, they would be thrilled! I think 1.5 to 1.8 is more likely. I hope you are right though. I have my Flex plan -- there is no excuse for not buying at least t Flex plan - -very affordable and convenient.

Can someone explain how the flex plan works exactly?

You buy 81 tickets (at a season ticket discount) and you can use them anyway you want. You can redeem them one for 81 games, 81 for one game, or any combination you want.

Do all Major League teams have this flex package or is it just the marlins or a few other teams?

I think that's a great idea though say you want a whole group to come with you to a game one day instead of just swallowing season ticket days when you can't make it to the ballpark.

I know the Devil Rays have it too.

Rune, check with the web sites of the individual teams to see if they offer it.

do the flex plans count in the season ticket plans?

If so, then that 5,000 number is pathetic

I don't think so because they are like vouchers you exchange for tickets and are not guaranteed attendance, although the money is guaranteed.

Question: If you buy a voucher plan, are you saying that you aren't actually guaranteed seats in the area you bought them in for any game?

attendance will hinge on one thing: March 15. If Marlins have a stadium by March 15, attendance could become close to 1.8 mil and grow in time. Without a stadium, the team will be traded off and a move is likely. It's all or nothing on March 15. Any speculation to the contrary is missing the real story. :hat The champ

No, you are saying you are going to guarantee to pay for 81 admissions. The reason I believe they aren't counted as season tickets is because the vouchers may not be used, but yet paid for so the attendance numbers won't see the unused vouchers, but the money is in the bank for the Marlins.

Thanks Cape, for the info.

The Flex program is the way most teams should promote their season tickets.

That's right, they all say pending availability. You should pick out the games in advance to ensure you get the seats in your price level. In the past it hasn't really been an issue, but hopefully this season there won't be as much availability. If seats in your price level aren't available, they'll do their best to accommodate you by letting you redeem them for tickets in other areas.

the marlins sold 150k worth of season tickets on sat.....

If you purchase the flex plan before feb. 7, you can select the games and the seats you want....
