February 12, 200422 yr In regards to the law, do white people get treated differently than non whites? non whites being American Indians and African Americans in this instance
February 12, 200422 yr oh yeah definetly. In my school today This white kid was caught skipping the lunch line and he just had to go away and was permitted to have lunch unless he waited at the end of the huge line. Then a black kid did it and he got in trouble. CSI
February 12, 200422 yr African Americans are far more likely to be suspected and accused of crimes, you can see it every day. American Indians? Depends where you are. I fully believe that anyone not fitting a mold in an area gets treated differently. If a Native American is in a 'white' community, I think they get watched a lot more closely. On a reservation, its a completely different story with the roles being totally reversed. Working around the local Miccosukee Tribe, I can witness this on a regular occassion. Since they are autonomous, only the Tribal Council can give judgement on a tribe member (rarly does a case go to any other law enforcement agency, even if a death is involved.) But don't let some white kid from IU get caught messin' around on the res, it'll be a while before you get home :peepwall Same old thing, if you are different than the majority, you get treated differently :deadhorse
February 12, 200422 yr i think its 2 things.... while commiting a crime cops would be m ore lineint to u if ur white sometimes.. buuuut, when ur in jail or in a halfway house or somthin then if ur black u get treeted better than non blacks.
February 12, 200422 yr I for one think one thing that is overlooked is that in south Florida, the minority is the majority. Sometimes whites have racism committed against them. Not like I'm asking for sympathy, but I don't think that should be ignored...
February 12, 200422 yr Blacks can get away with things socially whites can't. Poor people in general don't stand a chance in a court of law.
