February 15, 200422 yr Wish I was there with my brother and dad. Favorite driver: Sterling Marlin. Come on baby! Like 2 years ago!
February 15, 200422 yr It's going to be great, I'm staying with my Junior pick and I'm praying that Spencer does well enough to find someone as a sponsor. Should be great as this will be the year, Nascar takes official hold of The US(not saying it will be the most popular) and rids itself of the fastest growing sport title.
February 15, 200422 yr NASCAR. The fastest growing sport in America. The Daytona 500 is the biggest event in NASCAR. You could argue almost with this race passing up Indianapolis in terms of prestige, due in large to the rise of NASCAR itself. Tune in, it will be fun. This is racing at its best. Now, Let's Go Racin! Personally I would like to see one of the old guns that have never won this thing to finally find victory circle.
February 15, 200422 yr Russell aint coming thru for ya dei isnt winning this year though dood. mikey only wins this race when DW is in the booth. Junior is going to be cursed like daddy for a while still. Andretti just sucks.
February 15, 200422 yr Im a Jimmie Johnson/Ryan Newman fan. Not a Big Nascar fan though. but i usually watch the end of every race.

February 15, 200422 yr Author Sterling, Awesome Bill, and Jeremy Mayfield. I do like Newman though. He's a Dodge.
February 15, 200422 yr awesome bill isnt racing. now that russell got cut off.... tony stewart or ryan newman will take it. that 20 car is very strong today.
February 15, 200422 yr Author I know Awsome Bill isnt racing. But he's doing a partial season, that's why I included him. Plus, I have an Awesome Bill hat.
February 15, 200422 yr good for him. would rather of seen tony get there....but good for him.... dont know how the hell he was able to do that all alone..... i thought at these places you needed drafting help..but i guess not anymore....

February 15, 200422 yr I had The Junior Flag out today rather than my mom's fruity leprachaun, I've gotten a few car horns as they drive by for it. Man I was pumped when he won, then laughed in my dad's face who like Marlin and guaranteed a win.
February 15, 200422 yr Author i hate Junior. Loved his dad though. His dad started out poor and just worked his way up...using crappy cars, but being such a good driver that he still won. Junior gets the best of the best and wins. I hate it.

Junior gets the best of the best and wins. I hate it. As we all know, winning The Biggest Race in the sport is SO easy. If you hate young drivers getting the best cars and endorsements, you might as well stop watching Nascar right now.
February 15, 200422 yr Author nope. I dont hate young drivers, and I dont hate people with the best cars. I hate it that Junior has ridden on his daddy's coattails to get the best. Jimmy Johnson's daddy didn't have his own NASCAR cars. Neither did Newman (who I like btw), or Jeff Gordon, or Tony Stewart, or Greg Biffle, or Kurt Busch, or Matt Kenseth. Obviously, the kid's got talent. I mean, his brother Kerry can't do crap in the Busch series, let alone win the Daytona 500. I'm just giving you my reasons for not being a fan of his. That's the joy of NASCAR. Everyone has their own fans. I just choose to be different than the 75-80% of fans who love Dale Jr. I like the Dodge drivers, and I like the ones that were born in the South. Because I hate the North, West, etc.? No way. Because I find it cool that as this sport is becoming a national sport, and not just a regional one, that there are still people coming out of the South who aren't getting left behind. And if they are getting left behind, I cheer for them even harder (Sterling Marlin).
