Sherman may be cheap af (lowest net worth of any managing partner in MLB), but I believe he had the right idea to go out and get someone from the Rays to run the team. Just step back from the emotions of rooting for this shit franchise and look at the best teams in the league....we cannot compete with them on the field or at the box office. Not even close. Gotta do it the hard way with draft and development. There were no amount of signings the Marlins couldve done that would have put them even close to the Braves.

Bendix is making the right moves. Whether the specs pan out, who knows. The Marlins are nowhere near the best teams in the league. The reality of the situation sucks, but Bendix has a really tough job ahead of him to make this team truly competitive. Any player over 30 years old....don't see much point keeping them around for the overhaul that has to occur to fix the org. depth across all levels.

Bendix is taking over a franchise in need of a complete overhaul. There is little talent at the Major League level and next to nothing in the minors. Last year’s playoff run was fueled by a fluky great record in one run games. The team that Jeter and Ng built is nowhere close to consistently contending. It’s unfortunate, but Bendix is operating as if this is the beginning of another rebuild, and you can't blame him when looking at the ZERO organizational depth.
