Let’s not overlook that Burger is playing 1B.

Marlins really missed the opportunity today to have their lineup in alphabetical order:

1. Arraez

2. Anderson

3. Bell

4. Bride

5. Burger

6. Chisholm

7. DeLaCruz

8. Fortes

9. Garcia

Also as I mentioned last night which is of course common sense but for some who were happy that Avi was benched yesterday and were hoping that it was going to be a theme for this year I’m here to say once again it was solely because of the Pirates starter being right handed.

As you can see today the lefty starter for the Pirates will have Avi batting in the lineup.

Thankfully there are a higher number of RHP in MLB.. but knowing how the Marlins are I think that eventually Avi will continue being in there over Sanchez most of the time even vs RHP. Sheesh.. always mind boggling every season how someone can still be so terrible at their job and yet still get to keep it and make a lot more money than other people who actually would do a better job than him.
