I would love to see white or heredia in that deal, because we still don't have a left-handed specialist. We can't rely on Almanza to be that guy, and Tejera and Phelps aren't that guy they're long relievers.

The most important stat I believe on heredia is leftys are batting .202 against him, but Heredia has a way higher era against leftys. He has an era near 4 against leftys and a 1.5 era against rightys. Gabe White on the other hand has an era of 2.30 against leftys. I'd like to have either of those guys.

Things aren't looking to good for the football team this season though, hopefully they surprise me. Husker fan here too. I don't agree with that though. I think Peleni who is now taking over the D should help as he has one of the best defensive minds in football. He turned down a couple offers from the NFL this year that I know of to take a college job. He was formerly the LB of the Packers. We fired everyone but Solich and I think the new blood should only help. Also Lord has worked hard on watching Film this year along with throwing the football. If he can't do it there is a star in the waiting named Joe Dailey. I'm not worried about the defense I think it will be much improved, but Lord can't pass, and until they get a quarterback that can, they won't get back to their national championship contending form.
