Manager of the Year
Hey guys, this may be a stupid topic, so I apologize if anything, but I would like to get your feedback on this. IF the Marlins finish .500 or a little above or a little below (a game or two), do you think they would give Manager of the year to Joe Girardi, or would it go to someone else, Like Jim Leyland in Detroit, Willie Randolph in NY, Ozzie Guillen in Chicago? Whats your take on this?

THANK GOD THAT MAN IS OUT OF OFFICE. NOT FOR THE MARLINS SAKE, BUT FOR THE SAKE OF MIAMI ITSELF. IF I EVER SAW THAT MAN IN PUBLIC, I WOULD STICK MY FOOT SOFAR UP HIS ASS,HED BE CHEWING THE GUM I JUST STEPPED ON..

Exactly why it was a bad move!!!
Last night during the game, proves why it was such a bad idea to release Lenny Harris. Im not here to bash Chris Aguila, but I would feel more comfortable with Lenny at the plate than Chris. How can a I guy go up to bat and swing at the first pitch. Oswalt was getting tired (close to 100 pitches at that point), you knew he was going to throw junk. Again, Im not here to bash Chris. That game was ours to win, and I think we need that extra clubhouse presence. Does anyone know if he is still available. Maybe if this was toward the laterpart of the year, and Chris was not so nervous and anxious it would be different, but you really want to start the season on a good note. Either that or maybe Girardi secretly does not have faith in this club, this year, and wants to give the "young" guys a shot. Whats your take on this?

Im ready for 2006
Ive been thinking about this for a LONG time, and now finally I get a chance to write and relax. Many people are questioning if the 2006 Florida Marlins are for REAL. As of right now it is very hard to say. IT IS TOOO EARLY, but I would have to think that Marlins may be the CLeveland Indians of last year. A underrated, overlooked team. Here are my reasons. These guys are all young, younger than me and most of us on here. Im 26. The average age on the teams is 22 ( I think). After the Marlins win a few games, and begin to gel, im pretty sure every sportswriter (excluding Dan LeBatard), would love to be with these young fresh guys. They are playing all heart. They are fresh. No egos (like the millionaire Yankees, Mets, and Red Sox) that like to go and "buy" a team. That clubhouse will be filled with music and laughter before and after games. They are kids growing to be men. They have that perfect clubhouse coach/leader in Joe Girardi, and the perfect player/humble leader in Lenny Harris (assuming he stays). NO EGOS. They may even have a "chip" on there shoulder, b/c everyone is writing them off, and as well all know, NOTHING is a given in sports (right YANKEE FANS). This team could be the teams of Oakland and Cleveland of the past few years, in letting go big $$$ for good prospects and good coaching. Notice how teams are not spending like a few years ago. I love this team, and I will go watch games this year. Plus for us guys, just imagine the females that will heading to see the games to check out OUR young studs... 2006, ALL HEART...ALL THE TIME 2006, WRITE OFF YOUR TAXES, NOT THE MARLINS 2006, LESS IS MORE.

Thanks for your support everyone..... I know if I dont tryout for one team, I will be kicking myself too. I might even call the D-Rays

Tryouts
I called the Florida Marlins, and I recieved some info. Here is the info for those who are interested. They will BE holding a 1day "camp/tryout". It will be on March 3,2006, and it will be at there Jupiter Spring Training field. Theres a catch though. It will be up to age 24. So I guess they must be going for a YOUNG approach. I left a message with the Assistant Scounting Director, and hopefully he gets back to me. I am 26, so that counts me out if true. I hope this helps anyone.

Tryouts
no I throw righty....It would be nice to throw lefty, but I would have problems throwing out runners at third. Im a pull-ball hitter.

Tryouts
IF I can tryout, I will be going for catcher. Im a lefty power hitting catcher. If I dont make it, what do I lose...nothing. I mean who has not had a dream of trying out for a pro team. I have not played in a few years, but recently I started throwing a ball around for fun, then I started playing softball, and guess what..now I feel like trying out.

Homestead as well
It obviously didnt work up North....Now all of you "north of DADE" people are crying b/c you may not be able to make it to your 6 games a year. Now you will know how it feels to lose a team that has been asking for support from NORTH and SOUTH fans. the North side is now crying b/c it may be moving south, or REALLY NORTH. You guys dropped the ball. Us SOUTH FANS did it for 12 years. Either you are fans or not. Dont cry b/c the stadium is going to move 50 miles south. You guys could afford the gas.

Tryouts
I know what "Spring Training" is buddy.... Obviously you have no idea what Im talking about. So anyone other than Marlins R #1, I would like your assistance in helping answer my questions. Of course we all know that every baseball team holds "open-tryout" for regular people looking for one last shot....hence the word "TRYOUT". If anyone has any idea as to when this will happen, could you please let me know. Thank You.

Tryouts
Does anyone know when will the 2006 tryouts be?

Ricky Williams to the Broncos?
well if Denver is willing to give up a 1st round pick...The dolphins may uses that extra first rounder to trade their second round pick to Houston for David Carr. The Dolphins could go ahead and used there two first round pick to trade up to a higher pick and get Brickshaw Ferguson or Marcus McNeil. Or they could stay and hope DeAngelo Williams falls there way (which would feature to young backs), and Micheal Huff (wich would solve there CB problem.
