  1. This guy is overrated. He is a very streaky player. His stuff is awesome, but, I personally would not pay 10 million dollars on a guy who did not pitch in all of 2003. He will be remembered for his no-hitter,but, sometimes he just can't throw his pitches over the plate. Don't get me wrong he is capable of throwing a no-hitter everytime. He's just not consistent and personally he has not earned 10 million dollars per season. I would rather waste it on a consistent starter. All he needs is basic control, but to me it seems he cares more about how hard he throws than where he throws it.
  2. We all know there will always be a team so desperate to overpay for mediocre players or lesser caliber. For example, Adrian Beltre he has more errors than homeruns. Also Carl Pavano who only had one good season and he got signed by the Yankees for a large amount. He was under .500 in his career and got what he wanted. The point is that there is always a team out there that will take their chances on an Alex Gonzalez. Now Adino is a raw talent that you can work on. His flaws are workable. We got Perry Hill working with him at 21 he is gonna achieve many things.I would not pay let's say 7 million for Alex because he kills rally's ,his numbers have decreased. His elbow is a concern. I don't know I just wouldn't take my chances with him.Adino in the future could be even better defensively, just give him time.
  3. I think it will happen this time because time is running. I never said it was going to be this offseason ,but, the clock is ticking on the stadium issue and sooner or later there will be a result. The thing is if the Marlins want to make a strong push they better put alot of people in the stadium. Some fans do not take losing lightly. By, not at least making an effort, the whole stadium deal would be put at risk. We as Marlins fans need to show Congress that we can and will support the Marlins. So this team needs to be competitive until they get the stadium. The clock is running to answer your question.
  4. I think that if the Marlins want to get a stadium in South Florida. They must convince the people that they want to win, because if they cut payroll that is the franchises death wish in South Florida. Our fanbase is growing I do not think it would be smart to lose fans or players people remember as the face of the franchise at this point. The goal is to make South Florida kings of the baseball world not the laughingstock of baseball. Like many of you hopefully,I will root for this team even when it gets tough. Whatever hapens I will still be watching and cheering on the fish.
  5. Although this has been a disgraceful season for the Marlins, at least we are building on something. I mean think about how competitive we are even with our market. I see that they are building a winning tradition. If they get two more wins we will have or 3rd winning season.Which face it comes a long way from our dismantling era.We are building a respectable franchise in South Florida. A team to be feared by any team in the Majors. The only thing we need to solidify the Fish as a force in the majors is a stadium.
