  1. Attaboy Miggy! :notworthy
  2. I'm against all of the orange.....I would rather see the teal back. That being said, the majority of the seats at the Marlins' home stadium are Dolphins Orange, which probably encourages them to use more orange in the color scheme. But once we get a new ballpark, there is no excuse for not going back to teal. I hope you're right. I'd hate to see orange become one of our primary colors (haven't I bought enough jerseys!?) :banghead
  3. that was easy...went with julio on this one
  4. I went with Cabs on this one
  5. Brings back some good memories...I miss Jim Eisenreich and Dutch Dalton
  6. Somewhere, Alex Sanchez and Eric Reed are getting drunk. :lol :lol :lol Hopefully he can keep this up all year. Great debut from the youngster!
  7. This isn't football, so as others have said, it doesn't mean a whole lot, but a few things did encourage me a bit (keep in mind I didn't get to actually watch the game...I had to watch the MLB.com gamecast from school). That being said... Cabrera's a stud. Good Lord the guy's just freakin's awesome. As is Hanley Ramirez. Perhaps the best left side of an infield in all of baseball between these two. De Aza looks promising, he really surprised me today. Josh Willingham disappointed me today. The most important thing I saw was NO RUNS GIVEN UP BY THE BULLPEN! That will definitely help if they can pitch that well all year. But jeez, Julio needs to find the strike zone... As I said, though, it's only one game, so Willingham may come through yet, De Aza may suck yet, and the bullpen may find ways to implode big leads. I pray to God the last two things won't happen though. All in all, a fantastic opening day for the Fish! 1-0!
  8. That's what I like to hear. I've got my jersey on and ready to represent up here in Columbus. 1:05 PM can't come soon enough. Go Fish!
  9. It's gotta be the Mets for me. I think it goes back to the Bobby Valentine era, whom I just could not stand at all, and it's just kind of lasted over from that. Everytime I see David Wright or Jose Reyes I wanna throw my remote through the TV. Jeez, I can't stand the Mets. That being said, I extremely dislike the other 3 teams as well; it's just I hate the Mets the most.
  10. Hey, my first post. Go easy on me guys... :whistle I think you guys have already hit most of the keys the Fish need to contend. Sophomores don't slump, Anibal comes through, Hermida lives up to expectations, bullpen improves, and so on and so forth. I personally think a big factor will be none other than Mike Jacobs. Having him improve and get those power numbers up there will give us just the big bat we need in the middle of that lineup to go along with Cabs, so teams won't be able to pitch around Miggy all year. As for his glove, I think we just kinda gotta pray that as few balls are hit to him as possible... And I think the wild card has a good chance to come out of the East. The central could be the worst division in baseball (Cards won it last year with 83 (!?) wins, and some people have the Brewers winning it...the Brewers!), and the west isn't much better aside from LA, who would really be lucky to get above 93 wins. As has been said, if the Marlins take everything one game at a time (whoever said the "win two out of three games" mentality hit the nail right on the head) and keep their heads on straight, there's a chance we pull out a second place finish and maybe get that wild card a third time. Now excuse me while I go knock on wood until my knuckles bleed...
