  1. Jupiter must be in the running for the most blown saves in all of baseball!
  2. I read within the past few weeks that Charlotte has approval to build a new minor league stadium downtown (replacing the Knights current stadium, which is in Fort Mill, SC). It sounds like stadium is expected to be ready for the 2009 season. Didn't we used to have Edmonton as one of our affiliates? We had the Calgary Cannons as our AAA affiliate after we lost the Charlotte team. The Cannons relocated to Albuquerque and became the Isotopes. Before Charlotte, Edmonton was the AAA affiliate from 1993-1994.

You do not show the source of the quote ... If true, I am sorry to hear it. Tucker has been the most effective of the 2005 class starters in Jupiter so far this season. I would have thought he would be among the first in line to move up to AA. One of his strengths seems to be his aggressive attitude on the mound ... part of the maturing process is to keep this focused toward the game, not toward coaches and teammates. Maybe it is good that any attitude issues are being addressed early ...
  4. You probably know this, but I think former Marlin Bryan Harvey is the Tourist pitching coach ...
  5. I am new to this Board, and have really enjoyed this thread about the young pitchers. One comment: it looks like Tucker, in Jupiter, is flying under the radar screen. His last few starts have been solid, and his stats compare favorably to the other Jupiter starters. He seems to be a strong, durable pitcher. If I remember correctly, last year's 2nd half was much better than his first. If that trend repeats, this could wind up being a great year for him.

Where did you see the Hammerhead's roster? I have not been able to find current rosters on the minor league sites.
