WHICH IS WHY ..... I POSTED THE COLORADO ROCKIES OUTFIELD BECAUSE THEY DO THIS . AND YES THEY HAVE PLENTY OF ADVERTISING JUST NOT ANYWHERE WHERE THE BALL IS IN PLAY I was at a Rockies game this weekend. They now have a few ads on the outfield wall itself. (Not saying this supports either side of the argument; just interesting since the Rockies example was where this all started.)

does anyone know what they are doing the last couple of days? what is on the ground right now? when will the cement be layed? I think a lot of us are checking in on the webcam every day, even this early, and have the same questions. If anyone from the Marlins reads this, I'd love it if once a week or so someone just typed a sentence or two on the webcam page explaining what they are working on in the coming days. I can tell they're working, but have no idea what they're actually doing.

Has anyone been able to get a good zoom on the Loria's special center field element? I can see a couple of circles with text inside (aquarium?), but the pdf isn't high enough quality to read the labels.

I agree that it was probably more of an afterthought, but I definitely remember the Marlins saying that he was named because of his "bill" and because of Billy Martin back when Billy was first introduced.

This really can't be anything more than "We're disappointed . . . but we're going to keep working." I think it's fairly obvious that losing this one small piece is not going to make them bring in the moving trucks tonight. And, even if they do have a Plan B already set or close, policitally they can't announce anything like that a day after the session ends. "I know the city and county have been telling you that we need this for the past 3 months, but in reality we had a backup plan all along, we just didn't want to have to put any more money in if we could convince you that you had to give it to us." Add to that the slim possibility that Crist decides to add this to the special session. My guess: we hear about a deal either about 30 days from today, or 30 days from the end of the special session if the stadium issue is at play there.

Does anyone have any info on how this is playing out behiind the scenes? Any idea of a timetable when this may show up in the Senate? Or when it will have to show up in order for it to have a realistic shot of passing?
