What in the world is wrong with Chris Coghlan?
What do u think about moving everyone 1 spot in the batting order and putting CC in the 8th spot til he figures himself out? Disagree. This would put Hanley batting second, and Cantu batting 3rd. It would diminish the RBI opportunities for both of those players. The solution is to switch Gaby Sanchez and Coghlan in the batting order. I just don't see Fredi moving Gaby up to the 2 hole. He likes his line up to have the right left thing going when he can get it, especially at the top. That is a good point. Baker moving up to the 2 slot would be the most ideal possibility, then. I wouldn't mind that at all. For some reason I hate baker on the 2 spot. I can't put my finger on what it is yet. This seems like an incorrect gut feeling then. I don't have statistics at hand, but from off the top of my head memory John Baker has produced quite a few RBIs in the 2 hole, usually with Maybin on base.

Mets designate Jacobs for assignment
I will admit that having Jacob back will see an increase in our attendance, thanks to all of his female fans. We should try to get Hermida back, too. My girlfriend thinks he's cute.

4/18 Post Game
They are probably going to be overshadowed by the other choices, but Hopper and Nunez were fantastic as well shutting down the Phillies. I want to see more of the Leo Nunez that uses his changeup efficiently. he also said that he would start using his slider more which i think he needs to do. A Fastball/change-up combo is one of the best in the game if any pitcher can harness it and Nunez has done so and done so in a way that he has made both lefties and righties look clueless. He should keep doing what he's doing now until they finally start hitting him, then it could be time to work the slider in. I agree with your analysis... Leo has one of the best changeups I've seen. Johan has a better one, but that's a circle change so I don't know if they could be considered in the same category.

What in the world is wrong with Chris Coghlan?
His 2 walks and 11 strikeouts are the biggest concern. Just shows he's not seeing much of anything well. His eye was what impressed me last year and he does not have it right now. Maybe he's just a slow starter, he didn't play very well when he first came up last year. I give him to about 100 ab's before I begin to get really worried. I agree with him...It really seems like Coghlan has lost his eye for the strike zone, which was imperative to his success last year. He was impressive getting deep into counts, and if I remember correctly almost always took a few pitches in the beginning. He really seemed like he knew what his role was as a lead off hitter. This year however, he's swinging at A LOT of outside pitches with a strange running-hack type swing that usually results in a chopper to the third baseman. Perhaps what would be best is to send him down to AAA, but at the least he should be put in the 8th slot of the batting order. I'm confident that Sanchez could take over the 2nd position, or ideally John Baker.

4/18 Post Game
Robertson has been solid for us...I expect him to keep up the good work and he seems to be a good 3rd or 4th starter. Of course, I could just be getting ahead of my self...but these 3 starts are cause for optimism
