Hell of a job by Nate Robertson. I give him player of the game.

 

The Phillies announcers kept saying how impressive Uggla looks and how it seems that he's turned into a complete hitter.

Gotta give it to Uggla. Had a huge bat today.

 

Excellent job by the pitching staff though. Robertson pitched pretty darn well (would have liked to see less walks though), and Hopper and Nunez were great. All around nice day for the Marlins.

Nate is the player of the game. Without his pitching performance we probably would have lost. It's kinda hard to win in Philly with only two runs scored.

Defense was great all day except for that one error. Really picked up Nate and got us through most of that game. I gave it to them but it could go to any of those on the poll.

I voted for Nate. 7 shut out innings against philadelphia will get my vote every time

Let's not forget Jayson Werth basically stealing a run from his own team with his terrible base running in the 4th(?). That was huge.

I give it to Ugs...Nate's pitching is wasted if he doesn't come through.

Great series by the team as a whole, especially the pitching. Glad to see we left Philly with a series win.

They are probably going to be overshadowed by the other choices, but Hopper and Nunez were fantastic as well shutting down the Phillies. I want to see more of the Leo Nunez that uses his changeup efficiently.

I gotta say, early on I was apprehensive about Nunez closing...but lately he has sparked my confidence. If we could just get Meyer turned around and find the guts to get rid of Veras we may have a decent pen. Starting rotation seems solid, except for Sanchez...he just doesn't have much confidence. I say send him down to NOLA if he has another rough start. 2010 looks bright for the Marlins!

Leo is locating his changeup, and it's really filthy. Hopper is becoming really valuable in middle relief. I give it to the bullpen, for making me feel like we could actually have something good out there, today. It's been the main complaint of the year thus far, so hopefully those 2 guys continue what they're doing, at least.

I love it. 8 K/1 BB in 9.2 IP. That's a beautiful thing. And 14 GO:10 FO.

He's currently on pace to finish with 121 IP. If he's stretched out, keep him stretched out. Turn him into the Mike Marshall of the 2000's.

I opted for Uggla although Robertson deserves lots of praise also. Early days still but that trade is starting to pay dividends.

 

Exceptional pitching to limit potentially the best offense in the Majors to 1 run over the final 2 games of this series. Now onto Texas!
