Incase you didn't know and incase you are to ignorant to know, pitch speed does affect the distance a ball is hit. Don't write about something you don't know man. That just makes you look way too stupid. :lol 550266 u have yet to post something worth noting. so i take ur post as a joke. i said pitch speed does help, but its not everything. not all hrs are hit off of 100 mph or even 95+ fastballs. you need to learn how to read my posts before you start opening your mouth

Miggy Cabrera, Player of the Day
Players like stokes and other natural power hitters pretty much mash 20 hrs easy at 18 yrs old.? 548569 hmmm at 18 Jason Stokes didnt have 1 at bat in the minors at 19 Jason Stokes hit 6 homeruns for Utica now Im sure you will now say something like, "Stokes hit 27 homeruns at age 20", well Miguel Cabrera hit 22 homeruns at age 20, 12 of them in the majors.. Stokes was in A ball. you know damn well that doubles in the minors usually become homeruns in the majors(assuming they wall balls not groundballs down the line) 549528 doubles dont become 484 + ft hrs either.... 549537 but isnt a 350 foot homerun = to a 550 foot homerun? I mean even s***ty players like Glenallen Hill hit bombs now and then 549541 glenallen hill is raw in bp tho. man that guy puts on a show.. ok now back to it, yea a 350 = 550 . i was just putting these little kids to place because they think cabrera will hit a 500 ft bomb one day. yea i know cabrera has power now. thats obvious. hes leading the team in hrs. hes great. he just will never hit a 500 ft hr just like derek lee and tons of others would. 549752 Meh Most of the distance on the homer is determined by the power of the pitch thrown at you, not by the strength of the hitter hitting the ball. If you get a fat 100 MPH pitch, happen to make sweet contact, it'll be landing a couple days later. 549794 EXACTLY. 549854 oh yes, exactly, because you are the voice from heaven. the voice of reason. the know it all. youre exactly wrong homie

Man you guys don't know s***. Especially you BillFish. To be saying that Cabrera will never have a 50 HR seasona dn never hit a HR further than D Lee's. Do you like know the f***in future? Bro you dont know jack. Cabrera is going to be one of the best hitters as he ages. He's got the power and he's got the size. He definitely has a great swing. Improvements on all of his mechanics will only make him better. 548680 yea he can be one of the best, but i never said hes not going to hit 50 hrs in a season. he might. he might not. he has a chance to. but as for hitting it farhter than d.lee. nope. and where did i say hes not ever going to hit 50 or has no chance at it huh smart guy? and improvements in mechanics dont make you hit the ball 500 ft. its either roids or you just change your style alltogether and start bashing the ball and lead the league in ks.

weathers in, koch out!
with the addition of weathers it looks as if koch will get even LESS playing time :thumbdown 547949 GOOD :thumbup . 548042 Koch has been great for us. Why all this hate? 548109 Koch has had tremendous luck and the FO knew that hence the Weathers acquisition. Take a gander at his WHIP (which includes nearly a walk an inning). 548134 era is the bottom line. dont give me this whip crap. 548519 Excuse you? ERA is a mask on relievers and you should know this. Take a look at runners inherited and how many of them scored. Those runs don't get charged to that pitcher's ERA, but they sure as hell count on the scoreboard. The reason I like Bump is who would you rather have in a two men on one out situation not named Mota or Benitez? 548623 runners inherited is a stat itself. whip just does nothing but say they the pitcher allows baserunners. who cares about baserunners? its runs taht decide win/losses and some pitchers are better pitching out of jams then others. you should know this.

Miggy Cabrera, Player of the Day
nope.? hes doesnt have d.lees ht or raw strength.? d.lee pulled the ball mostly to left center, thats why he didnt hit it over 500 ft and never will. just like cabrera will never break the 484 of d. lee. he doesnt "lift" the ball enough and doesnt have the body or raw strength to do it.? the reason i saw raw strength is that d.lee was always a hr hitter.? cabrera just became one.? in the minors he was mostly a doubles hitter.? common man dont argue with me, i know more than all of you here combined about the game. DLee rarely pulled the ball, in fact he was more of a right center field kinda hitter... thats what hurts him so much. Cabrera was mostly a doubles hitter in the minors because he was 19 years old man!... 19 years old!.... there arent many if ANY 19 year olds who are prolific homerun hitters in the minors. The power develops as the player matures and gains more strength Ramps right, How can you say Cabs can hit a shot likle Lee because Cabs doesnt pull the ball, Lee never pulled anything, thats why his numbers at the Pro sucked, and you wont find andy 480 foot homers from DLEE when he was 21, and why doesnt Cabs have raw power, havent you seen this kid blast homers the other way at Pro Player, notorious for a big right field porch. In his first full season he might have 30 homers, Lee in his first full season, 17 homers. Cabs is already a big kid, who says he cant mature and jack 50 homers someday? To say that Cabs won't come close to Lees shot is stupid, considering he came mighty close a few days ago and he's only 21. 548538 lee never pulled anything... yes i know that. thats why i said he will never hit a 500 shot. and he should be able too, hes like 6'5 and should be able to hit 40 hrs a yr, but since he doesnt pull well, he cant hit em that far. and a 480 hitter at 21? easy, adam dunn... thats just one. i never said cabrera cant hit 50. i said he wont break d.less shot at the pro. i never said he may not come close to d.lees shot. i said he wont break it. and what was his shot the other day?

he doesnt got the swing and doesnt pull it enough to hit it over 484.? and it wasnt 479 it was 484 thank u very much homies. 548467 He doesnt pull it enough? What does that have to do with anything, you can't take anything away from him because he uses the field, hey your boy Pujols doesn't always pull the ball, Cabs def has the potential to out slug Derrick Lee. Remember this is his first full year. He's 21, he'll develop mentally and physically, he'll be one of the best power hitters in the game soon. 548483 id like you to find a hitter that has hit a 500 ft hr to straight center field. or find a righty thats hit a 500 ft hr to the opposite field... doesnt happen. im not saying thats bad. im just saying hes not going to out hit d.lees 484 unless he pulls it. u dont see pujols hitting bombs that deep because he uses the whole field. and tahts a good thing. 548501 Your not going to hit a 500 FT homerun pullin an outside pitch or middle to outside pitch, your going to hit them on pitches on the inner half, when the ball is on the inner half Cabs pulls um, so why woulnt he be able to, he did today, you dont think he can hit another one further than DLees, I meen hes got 20 more years to do it if he plays till 40 548505 nope. hes doesnt have d.lees ht or raw strength. d.lee pulled the ball mostly to left center, thats why he didnt hit it over 500 ft and never will. just like cabrera will never break the 484 of d. lee. he doesnt "lift" the ball enough and doesnt have the body or raw strength to do it. the reason i saw raw strength is that d.lee was always a hr hitter. cabrera just became one. in the minors he was mostly a doubles hitter. common man dont argue with me, i know more than all of you here combined about the game. 548510 DLee rarely pulled the ball, in fact he was more of a right center field kinda hitter... thats what hurts him so much. The power develops as the player matures and gains more strength 548528 he never hit like more than 15 hrs a season in the minors... yea he was 19 yrs old but he doesnt have the swing, the body type to be able to hit hrs that far. yes he will hit hrs. but he will not in his lifetime ever hit a hr thats 484 ft. you are ignorant to use the excuse of 19 yrs old. Players like stokes and other natural power hitters pretty much mash 20 hrs easy at 18 yrs old. Cabrera i believe hit less than 10 at 18 yrs old. and on top of that he doesnt have the swing. hes more of a line drive hr hitter. not a flyball hr hitter, which is needed to get into that upperdect to be 484. open your eyes and stop dreaming. and ramp i know you wish you were a scout and all, but you just dont have it. if you cant see this, you cant see anything.

You don't know how Cabs body will develop or how his swing will develop, no1 in the world would predict 700 homers from Bonda when he first came into the league, I know you might say roids but Cabs is just so unpredictable at age 21. 548523 how far was his shot the other day?
