Kings: Jackson will miss the playoffs by Fanball Staff - Fanball.com Monday, April 19, 2004 News Guard Bobby Jackson confirmed on Sunday that his abdominal strain will keep him from appearing in the playoffs. "This thing is serious," he told the Sacramento Bee. "I'm not sure that everybody around here believes this injury is as serious as it is." Jackson has been bothered by the strain since February. Two specialists told Jackson that the injury takes three months to properly heal. "I've been hearing around here that it's two-to three-week injury," he continued. "Everybody around here knows how much I love to play and want to play. But I'd rather miss the playoffs than miss a whole year of basketball. So that's where it's at." Views The Kings aren't the same without the reigning Sixth Man of the Year, but they are also not the only Western powerhouse with injury problems at the moment. Link It's gonna hurt the Kings' chances yet again. Last year, C-Webb and now Bobby Jackson. Kings had their chance in 2002 when they were healthy.

No matter what, ABC should try to get a tripleheader. ABC loses money on games it airs because it can only sell ads. TNT and ESPN can sell ads and get monthly payments from subscribers. Watching the NBA playoffs on ABC/ESPN doesn't seem right. But TNT does. I missed those 40 games in 40 nights on TBS and TNT.

No matter what, ABC should try to get a tripleheader.

And many Heat fans thought they were going to go far in 1999 Playoffs then the 8th seeded New York Knicks beat 3-2 and became the first 8th seed team to reach the finals. NBA had good rivalries such as Heat/Knicks, Pacers/Knicks, Bulls/Pistons, Bulls/Knicks (my favorite). etc.

NBC was tight. They had playoff tripleheaders unlike ABC, they only manage to show one playoff game so far. NBC had the ASG and the Western Conference Finals...now it's on TNT. Which ratings will go down. Playoff games were never on NBA TV. They were either on TBS or TNT. Alot of people, I know, will pick NBC over ABC.

Reality...a team from the West. Most likely the Spurs. Only 2 teams can actually compete with the West and they are the Pacers and the Pistons.

Good win for the Heat. I expected them to win by 10 or more.

No need to go there. Atleast James is getting the ROY. Even though Carmelo deserves it more? :mischief Melo had a better supporting cast than James. No one in the NBA had to deal with the hype that James had to deal with, not even Jordan. Also, James is more than to Earth than Anthony. I still like Melo though. I still gotta cop his jersey.

Baron Davis and PJ Brown both with 4 fouls. Hopefully, this won't be an issue in the 4th.

But I'm sure he would have taken the playoffs over the award anyday. I woulda have rather seen the Cavs than Boston. Damn Heat :shifty Yeah me too. Nike hyped him up too much. They supposedly had a All-Star game shoe ready for him, and today was release of final color of hi shoe which is the debut of the playoffs. Shoe was suppose to release but didn't since he didn't make it on the AS team. Shoe released today for the debut of the playoffs...Nike thought he would make the playoffs. (He worn plenty of times this season)

Rockets and Lakers game is best game so far.
