March 29, 200422 yr Just a thought... Conine at first base, Nunez in right, Cabrera in left for the opener... Choi looks like $hit thus far, and I don't think a two or three game tryout for Nunez to either showcase himself for other teams or play himself into the lineup is out of the realm of possibility, I mean he has been more consistent than some of our starters this spring... You got some personal issues with Choi? Cause your basbeall knowledge is obviously WAY off. lets look at Choi's numbers this spring... Marlins Stats AB 59 H 17 2B 5 3B 1 HR 4 RBI 14 SLG .610 AVG .288 That's good in my book. I wouldn't call that SUPERSTAR like, but for a guy like Choi coming into a new team a new system, those are VERY respectable numbers for ST. IN FACT, he is 2nd on teh TEAM in RBI's this ST, behind only Cabs 15.
March 29, 200422 yr I think Choi's done fine too. Plus if Choi DOES struggle, I'm pretty sure it'll be Cordero who will be getting the starts, not Nunez. I admit the guy's had a great spring, but Cordero's proven it over the years.
