catchoftheday
i said 23 or more ... i expect 25K for the year ... i know its a high number, but you gotta be optimistic either way i think you set the poll options too low ... there should at least be one for 30K ( i know its not realistic, but it looks good)
CapeFish
20-22k is what I expect, but over that wouldn't surprise me.
PBMarlin
20-22K. Total attendance around 1.7M.
Guest Moneyball
i think we will reach 2 million if we don't get close to 1.85-1.9.we are in trouble... the crappy interleague schedule won't help either
bman8316
I said less than 15k I just dont have confidence in these fake bandwagon fans, I know that everyone on this board is a real fan and wont make excuses about why they arent going to game. I think this week will have good numbers because of the giveaways and the celebrations but other than that I just think that people will only care about the Marlins when the playoffs come around so we will be back to empty ballparks during the middle of the season, I hope that they prove me wrong because going to the ball park with a packed house is one of the most fun things to do, but I'm sorry if I just have no confidence in bandwagon fans and sorry for the negativity. Lcyberlina
I think I agree with you on the fact that there are a lot of "fans" out there who are going to the games because of reasons other than the love for this team and baseball. However, I do see a good future for a strong Marlins fan base. Why? because even though there were a few stupid idiots who have no idea about baseball and were there for the "show", they were outnumbered by the group of fans who do know what baseball means and brought their kids and families to the stadium. This is the future. We may not have an attendance comparable to other much older franchises, but we do have a bright future. There was the kind of "fan" that just went because it was the "in" thing to do; the kind that screamed to Choi when he struck out the first time "I don't know how you do in Japan, but here we use the bat to hit the ball!" ignoring the fact that he Choi is actually Korean not Japanese. On the other hand, there were other real fans who knew this fact and silenced the idiot on the spot. So you see, it is not all bad and if the odds are on our side, the Marlins will be able to stay competitive, we get a stadium deal and we become the franchise we are meant to be. :thumbup I know I have my fingers crossed. Do you?

CapeFish
You guys are so negative as of late. It sucks being the World Champions, a ballpark is on the horizon and we have a large crowd coming for the ring ceremony on Saturday. Life just sucks. DaGreatOne
I think they will average 20,000-22,000. But that might be too optimistic. Like many said its the "in" thing to do now. I heard someone calling the radio asking to explain the rule of why Beckett didnt get the win for the game. I mean if your a true baseball fan you know that. I also heard people at the game screaming LOOPER LOOPER!! Some were joking but some were serious. (sigh)
rferry
I think 22500-23000 is very likely. If we get 17.5K for thirteen mid-week spring games, an additional 2.5K once summer comes and even more once the playoff stretch hits. And 25K for our weekend games.
