SuperAngels Posted April 13, 2004 Share Posted April 13, 2004 Angels' Anderson agrees to $48M, four-year extension April 13, 2004 SportsLine.com wire reports ANAHEIM, Calif. -- Anaheim Angels slugger Garret Anderson agreed Tuesday to a $48 million, four-year contract extension through 2008. The deal includes a team option for 2009 with a $3 million buyout. Anderson is a two-time All-Star and was the game's MVP last year. In 2003, he hit .315 with 29 home runs and 116 RBI. The 31-year-old center outfielder is in his 10th full season and is the Angels' career hits leader. "We stated before that signing Garret to a contract extension was a priority," general manager Bill Stoneman said. Anderson was the Angels' fourth-round draft pick in 1990.
