Pujols was too for the Card. If he has a monster year, it wouldnt be worth going to arbitration down the road. Get him a decent contract the way the As locked up Hudson Mulder and Zito.

Exactly. He could start his career at 20 and leave in his lates 30s. I am not saying stay because how many players stay with one team for their entire careers in Baseball? Not many.
