April 30, 200422 yr I would toil my whole life to see "outer space" in person. It is so grand and magnificient (sp). I find it so unbelievable that things can be so beautiful. I mean, we could have non-existence, a static and crappy existence, or we can have this. In my honest opinion, what are the chances if you think of it, to be dealt this existence? I think it would be good for all of us to sit back and just think about that. I can easily conceive and uglier and more terrible existence. However, we have all of this. Here's our very own sun. The luck for our planet to be made in just the right place, at the right orbit, out of the right material, with the right kind of sun, with the right kind of atmospher, it is just absolutely unbelievable. MAn I wish we had outerspace vacations within our lifetimes. Maybe in 200 years, but not now. I mean, just imagine yourself seeing this with your very own eyes, staring in awe: Hopefully some day. It seems if we can conceive it, we can do it. I wonder how long it will take to seem something like this: Sadly, maybe never.
April 30, 200422 yr Author Definitely, i wonder if it is possible to get a heart attack from how beautiful it is.
April 30, 200422 yr I've always been fascinated by Time Travel. Anyone think its actually possible. According to Einstein it was.
April 30, 200422 yr Author I've always been fascinated by Time Travel. Anyone think its actually possible. According to Einstein it was. I cannot conceive time travel working. It just seems that time is invented by man to make life easy...the present only exists. Sure, we can skip space theoretically, but travel BACK in time? What has already happened is done with in my honest opinion.
April 30, 200422 yr This reminds me of an old thread I posted up a while back about a guy who said he came from the future and he would say what was in store for us. http://www.marlinbaseball.com/forums/index...&hl=time+travel The guy was a phony but it is still an interesting read.
April 30, 200422 yr I've watched many Star Trek episodes in my time, and I believe that both Time Travel and Warp Speed travel are both very good possiblities. Unfortunately someone hasn't been born yet that can invent it, so unless someone here is the next Einstein, I don't think we'll see any of those two in our lifetime.

Unfortunately someone hasn't been born yet that can invent it, so unless someone here is the next Einstein, I don't think we'll see any of those two in our lifetime. Warp Speed is probably a possibility, but time travel. You know why. Unless there is some orders not to interfere we would see people traveling back in time to stop things like 9/11 or other major attacks. Maybe kill Hitler or something.
April 30, 200422 yr Author It would be like that video game command and conquer. However, I think the main thing is that we would see time traveleers gawking at us like animals. But could of someone traveled back and changed history? Yes, let me explain! We are all currently under the belief that WW2 happened, Hitler sucks, and we remember this as long as we remember being taught this in school, or seeing the holocaust museum (that's how I first saw it.) Now, what if there was this other evil german guy, let's just call him Keitel, and he would have become the dictator of germany unless he was killed. Now, if he was dictator, Germany would have made an atomic bomb, won the war, and kill a billion people. So time travelers travel back, kill Keitel for the far more inept Hitler, and all we remember is the history of Hitler, not Keitel. If fact, someone can travel back in time tommorow, kill Hitler, and we will remember this other evil guy, not ever think of Hitler, and have that memory as long as we remember. It is not the fact that we "think" history is stable that proves time travel not possible. In reality, we can never tell. The biggest arguments against time travel are the energy that would have to be invested, the fact we don't see time travelers, and the fact that time is very hard to conceive (well, at least for me.)
April 30, 200422 yr Author I FIGURED IT OUT! No one goes back in time to stop tragic events because if the event was stopped, no one WOULD KNOW to go back in time to stop it...thus, time will always stay the same...unless you sit on some walking fish like Homer Simpson.
April 30, 200422 yr actually considering that every little thing you do affects everything else in the world if you went back in time at all you would probably end up not being born and the entire world would have completely changed just because you blinked at the wrong second. time travel discussions suck because it is entirely too complicated great now my head hurts again. damn you all straight to hell *think happy thoughts*
April 30, 200422 yr Author What the heck are you talking about? In Austin Powers, everything was fine!
